What is Re-Entry?
"Begin with what is essential, then move on to what is achievable, and before you know it, you'll be accomplishing the unimaginable."

Re-entry involves a collaborative effort among government and private agencies, businesses, individuals, non-profit organizations, and community/faith-based groups. The goal is to combine a range of services for justice-involved individuals, aiming to decrease recidivism and victimization.
Transition
Re-entering society after being incarcerated can bring a mix of excitement and frustration. While you may initially think that readjusting to life after prison is just about settling in, the reality is far more complex and challenging.
Things to Consider for a Seamless Transition:
-
Prepare yourself mentally for the adjustment process
-
Allow yourself the time to transition gradually
-
Acknowledge that what used to be familiar may now appear different
-
Be prepared to catch up with the new culture, including changes in clothing, trends, and language
